The Valencian Energy Agency (AVEN) has recently awarded the facilities installed by Efficshop in the premises of Tempe with an Energy Rating of “A”, the most efficient. This has been possible thanks to the fact that ecoefficient principals have been taken into account during the design and execution of the facilities, cutting energy costs and emitting less CO2 into the atmosphere.
The premises, located in the Elche Industrial Park, have undergone thorough modernization with new lighting and air conditioning installations. These new installations have been designed and executed by Efficshop, which was also responsible for the registration of the project in the Valencian Community energy certification registry. After surpassing the Valencian Energy Agency's stipulations for energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, the Agency has awarded the premises, whose installations were carried out by Efficshop, a Building Energy Rating of “A”. These premises are the first in the region to receive this certification, which is the highest efficiency rating.
To achieve a project with these features, efficient air conditioning equipment has been installed after having established zoning criteria by means of several air treatment units. An initial study of the position of the exterior walls of the premises was used to establish these zoning criteria. The objective of this study has been to use every opportunity to adapt thermal energy generation to meet the demands of air conditioning in the different zones.
The lighting installations were designed to the specification of guaranteeing to meet the lighting needs of the commercial premises, whilst also providing a high degree of energy efficiency. Efficshop has also equipped the premises with the elements necessary for ventilating the premises based on its existing occupation, thereby avoiding energy wastage during times of low occupation.
This set of efficiency measures has meant that the premises has installed electrical power of under 100w per square metre, a value 50% lower than usual in this type of premises.
