The shop, located at number 4, Sancho El Mayor street in Pamplona, has 236 square metres available for commercial activity and has undergone an integrated refurbishment which has seen the light fittings, heating and air conditioning and control systems replaced. The new systems were designed by Efficshop, which also handled the application for obtaining the energy eficient qualification of the building.
The installation of more efficient lighting and climate control allows Perfumerias IF cutting their energy costs and CO2 emissions. After passing the energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission evaluations produced by the Calener GT programme, the Department of Innovation, Business and Employment of the Government of Navarra has granted A energetic Qualification to the shop, the most efficient class. Currently there are only ten projects with this energetic qualification in the register held by the Community government and this one obtained by this shop is the first obtained by a building dedicated to commercial premises.
For this project, efficient equipment were installed, such as a climate control system provided with variable cooling control and a new intelligent door-opening system, which is able to analise the temperature difference inside and outside the shop, allowing the doors to remain open to the public without losing energy.
As well as the installation of efficient systems, Efficshop has also given the shop the equipment necessary to monitor their energy consumption. Thanks to that Perfumerias IF know how much energy the shop is consuming at all times and receives the data broken down for climate control and illumination, and the monitoring allows periodic checks on the good functioning of the installed systems and to control the shop’s energy costs.
The energy-cost savings and CO2 emission reductions that eco-efficient centres, like this one in Pamplona, provide mean that many big commercial brands are incorporating environmental sustainability measures in their network of commercial establishments.
